CLG grant funds were recently awarded with Van Buren Historic District receiving funds for travel and training for staff and commissioners, as well as funding for a mini-grant program for façade work for property owners on Main Street. Details for this mini-grant program will be announced later this month.

Fairview Cemetery which is now part of the Van Buren Historic District, is about to receive new lighting throughout the cemetery. This will be period lighting that matches lighting found on Main Street. The project is estimated to be completed by the end of July or the first part of August.
