The City of Van Buren Street Department is dedicated to improving and maintaining Van Buren city streets, and is always on stand-by to respond to hazardous weather conditions that may affect travel and safety within city limits.
Curbside Yard Waste Pick Up
The Van Buren Yard Waste Department will provide curbside pick-up within the city limits for limbs up to 6” in diameter and up to 6' in length, bagged leaves, bagged mulch and landscape waste. Items prohibited are bagged trash, loose leaves, loose mulch, and other loose yard waste that can be bagged. Also prohibited is processed wood, such as landscape timbers, fencing, etc. Please do not place loose leaves or yard waste in the streets or drainage ditches to avoid clogging the drainage systems. Placing loose waste in the streets or drainage ditches is a violation of city ordinance could result in a fine for such actions. Please call the Street Department at 479-471-5009 to leave your address for pick up and specify either bagged leaves or limbs for pick up. Remember to not put limbs or bags by a utility meter.
The Yard Waste Recycle Facility hours of operation will be the following: Wednesday and Saturday only, 8:00 A.M. to Noon. The facility is located at 2844 Highway 59 South. Thanksgiving Holiday-Closed November 23rd-26th. Christmas Holiday - Closed December 21st-24th.
